At present I am a sessional VET teacher focusing on Graphic Design units. Prior to this I spent 20 years successfully running a graphic design studio. Click to view my portfolio. I am also a practising artist and illustrator. I recently completed a postgraduate certificate in eLearning and published a book on 'Domestic Violence' which has been accepted into three libraries. Melbourne Polytechnic (originally called Northern Melbourne Institute of TAFE) has been delivering vocational training since 1912 and today offers a diverse range of innovative, hands-on TAFE (VET) and Higher Education (Degree) programs to equip you with the knowledge and skills to excel in an evolving and challenging marketplace. Melbourne Polytechnic courses are designed and developed with industry participation to give students the best employment outcomes. There are six training centres, Northern Lodge – Eden Park, Northern Lodge – Yan Yean, Yarra Glen Racing Centre, Northern AMEP (Adult Migrant English Program) Centre in Broadmeadows, Growling Frog Vineyard and Melbourne Polytechnic Kyneton Park. Yarra House offers boutique student accommodation in the beautiful surrounds of the Fairfield campus.
The environmentally friendly building is the new learning facility for our Design Drafting and Interior Fittings, Education (Early Years), Children’s Services, Tertiary Studies, Civil Engineering, and Business (higher education) students.The facility will also house a wide range of Faculty of Further Education programs including VCAL, ESL, AMEP/CSWE, OQP, Police Preparation, ALBE and IETS testing.With 27 new classrooms, a lecture theatre, break out pods and a new fitness centre (open to students, staff and community alike), the building sets a new standard for vocational education in Melbourne’s north. With an eye on the future, Melbourne Polytechnic opened a new campus in Prahran in 2014 with a focus on programs for the creative industries.

What a beautiful building. Sounds like a creative place for learning and for work!

I also liked the links you added and checked them out - so now I know who I am 'speaking' to. The students much feel pleased to have someone with such depth of industry knowledge - and I imagine there are new things to learn all the time as technology changes so quickly
